Refund and cancellation policy

This policy explains how to cancel an AstroSoul subscription, when you are eligible for a refund, and how refunds are issued. We aim to be fair, fast, and transparent. If anything here feels unclear, write to us at support@astrosoul.ai and we will help.

Plain-language summary

  • You can cancel auto-renewal any time. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Day Pass is refundable within 24 hours of purchase if you have generated fewer than two Past-Life expansions.
  • Monthly is refundable within 7 days of first activation if you have used the service minimally.
  • Annual is refundable within 14 days of first activation. After that, we don’t refund the unused portion unless something has gone wrong with the service.
  • One-time past-life unlocks are non-refundable once the content has been generated, because we pay LLM compute for them on creation.
  • If we failed to deliver a paid feature, we refund regardless of plan or time elapsed.

How to cancel

Open the app and go to Settings → Subscription → Manage. You will see a Cancel auto-renewal option for any active plan. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access to paid features for the rest of the billing period you have already paid for.

If you bought your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancellation is handled by that store, not by us. Open Settings → Subscriptions on your device (iOS) or Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions (Android) and cancel from there. We are notified automatically.

Auto-renewal

The Monthly Pass auto-renews at the end of each period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We send a reminder email at least 24 hours before renewal so there are no surprises. Day Pass does not auto-renew — it expires 24 hours after purchase unless you buy a fresh one.

Refund eligibility

We grant a full refund in the following situations, regardless of plan or time elapsed:

  • You were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong amount, charge after cancellation).
  • A paid feature could not be delivered because of a service failure on our side.
  • Your account was charged without your authorisation.
  • Indian consumer-protection law or your local law gives you a right to a refund we have not honoured.

For ordinary change-of-mind cancellations, refund eligibility depends on your plan and how recently you activated it — see the next section.

Refunds by plan

Day Pass

Refundable within 24 hours of purchase if you have asked fewer than two questions to the cosmos. Once you have used the pass meaningfully (paid calls that consume real compute), the pass is consumed and we do not refund.

Monthly Pass

Refundable within 7 days of first activation if your usage in that window has been minimal — defined as fewer than five questions asked and no other paid action. If a future renewal surprises you, we will refund on goodwill within 48 hours of the charge if the new period has not been used.

One-time past-life unlocks

A single-life unlock is non-refundable once we have generated the content, because we pay real LLM compute the moment you tap Unlock. If you tap unlock and the generation fails, we refund automatically — you should never be charged for an unlock that did not produce a finished past-life entry.

Biographies, reports, and Soul Connect Reports

Same as past-life unlocks: non-refundable once we have generated the content; automatic refund if the generation fails.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are issued back to the original payment method:

  • Razorpay (UPI / cards / netbanking): we initiate the refund through Razorpay; it lands in your bank account or card statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. We will email you a confirmation at the time we initiate.
  • Stripe (international cards): refund is initiated through Stripe; it appears on your card statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
  • Apple App Store (iOS): Apple processes refunds for App Store purchases directly. Request via reportaproblem.apple.com. We can advocate for you with Apple but cannot reverse their decisions.
  • Google Play (Android): Google processes refunds for Play Store purchases directly. Request from your Play Store order history. Same caveat as Apple — we can advocate but not reverse.

Processing time

We acknowledge every refund request within 2 business days. Once approved, refunds are initiated within 3 business days. Bank-side processing then takes a further 5–10 business days depending on your payment method. You will see the credit on your statement at the end of that window.

If 14 days have passed and you do not see the refund, please email us at support@astrosoul.ai with the transaction ID — we will trace it with Razorpay or Stripe and follow up.

Service failures and billing errors

Two situations override the plan-specific eligibility above and always qualify for a refund:

Billing errors. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged the wrong amount, write to us with the transaction ID. We refund the disputed amount within 3 business days of confirmation. You do not need to wait for our review.

Service failures. If a feature you paid for could not be delivered (for example, a past-life expansion failed and left no readable content; the app was down for an extended period; a biography generation never completed), we refund the affected purchase regardless of how long ago you bought it. We may also credit your account with a complimentary subscription extension at our discretion.

How to request a refund

Email support@astrosoul.ai with:

  • The email or phone number on your AstroSoul account.
  • The approximate date of purchase.
  • The Razorpay or Stripe payment ID, if you have it (helpful but not required).
  • A brief description of why you are requesting the refund.

For App Store / Play Store purchases, please follow Apple’s or Google’s refund flow first — they hold the funds and we cannot reverse their charges. If their flow declines you and you believe the refund is warranted, write to us and we will advocate on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our offerings change. The Last updated date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. For material changes — for example, a shortening of the eligibility window — we will give existing subscribers at least 30 days’ notice by email before the new policy applies to them.
