Privacy policy

Account data: your Apple or Google sign-in identifier, email address, full name, username, profile photo (optional), and a short bio (optional).

Birth chart inputs: date of birth, place of birth, and (optionally) time of birth. Place of birth is geocoded to coordinates so we can compute your kundali. These fields are required for the app’s core function.

Activity: past lives you’ve opened, posts you create, direct messages you send, friend connections and relationship labels you assign, blocks you make, subscription history, and language preference.

Device: device locale (to default your UI language), platform, and basic technical signals (IP at sign-up, app version) for fraud prevention and analytics.

We use this data to provide the AstroSoul service:

• Compute your kundali (Vedic birth chart) from your birth inputs.
• Generate personalised past-life stories and biographies via large language models (currently Anthropic Claude / Google Gemini). Your chart features, name, and birth context are included in the prompts.
• Match you with friends-of-friends whose charts fit unfilled roles in your past lives.
• Deliver in-app, push, and (if you opt in) email notifications.
• Process subscription payments through Razorpay (India), Apple In-App Purchase (iOS), and Google Play Billing (Android).
• Detect abuse, enforce community standards, and respond to legal requests.

We do not sell your personal data. We share specific pieces with the third parties strictly necessary to run the service:

• AI providers (Anthropic, Google) — process prompts containing your chart features + birth context to produce past-life content. They do not use your data to train their models per our enterprise agreements.
• Payment processors (Razorpay, Apple, Google) — receive only the payment metadata required to charge your card / IAP account.
• Cloud infrastructure (database + storage providers) — host your data on our behalf under standard data-processing agreements.
• Law enforcement / courts — only when compelled by valid legal process.

Friends you connect with see your profile (photo, name, username, bio, past-life signatures) and any DMs you send them. Posts you create are visible per your privacy settings.

Wherever you live, you can:

• Export your data — Settings → Your data → Download as JSON.
• Correct your profile and birth details from Settings.
• Delete your account — Settings → Delete my account. Your account is locked immediately and your personal details (name, phone, email, photo, place of birth) are wiped; the underlying record is permanently deleted after a 30-day support grace window.
• Object to specific processing — contact us at the address below.

EU residents, India residents (DPDP Act), California residents (CCPA), and Brazil residents (LGPD) have additional statutory rights that we honour on request.

Active accounts: we retain your data while your account is open. Deleted accounts: your personal details (name, phone, email, photo, place of birth) are removed immediately on deletion request; the underlying record is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained indefinitely.

AstroSoul is not directed at children under 13. Sign-up requires the user to confirm they are at least 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we delete the account.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States (where our AI providers operate) and India (where our primary infrastructure lives). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.

We’ll post material updates in-app and bump the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
